Beginner Gymnastics Classes at Fit n Fun Academy. Our beginner gymnastics classes are designed for girls and boys aged 4 to 13 years old who are eager to learn gymnastics skills with the correct technique. These classes provide a solid foundation in gymnastics by focusing on four key apparatus, ensuring a well-rounded experience for every student.

Floor: Students will master essential movements like Forward Rolls, Backward Rolls, Handstands, Cartwheels, and Bridge Kick overs. These fundamental skills not only build strength and flexibility but also lay the groundwork for more advanced gymnastics techniques.
Bars: On the bars, students will learn to swing with proper technique, focusing on holding their body weight in various positions. This training helps develop upper body strength, coordination, and confidence as they progress through increasingly challenging exercises.
Balance Beam: Balance is crucial in gymnastics, and our classes emphasise this through various positions and movements on the beam. Students will practice walking, turning, and balancing on the beam, enhancing their poise and stability.

Tumble Track: The tumble track is a favourite among our students, where they can practice basic tricks and perfect their landings in the foam pit. This safe and supportive environment allows children to build confidence while learning to execute tumbling techniques correctly.
What to Expect: Our beginner gymnastics program is not just about learning new skills—it's also about getting fitter, having fun, and making new friends along the way. Each class is filled with energy, encouragement, and a sense of accomplishment as students see their progress week by week. At Fit n Fun Academy, we believe in nurturing a love for gymnastics in a positive, supportive environment where every child can thrive.

The Advanced class is designed for gymnasts who have limited training time but are committed to advancing their skills. Students have the flexibility to choose between training once or twice a week, with each session lasting two hours. This structure allows them to focus on key areas such as advanced skill acquisition, technique refinement, and strength and flexibility development, all within a supportive and encouraging environment. Our Advanced Rec class is a specialised 2 hour session for students aged 8 years and over who have successfully mastered all fundamental gymnastics skills and are ready to tackle more complex techniques. This class is ideal for those aiming to progress to advanced skills such as Back Handsprings, Side Aerials, and more. It operates concurrently with one of our squad classes, offering students a valuable glimpse into the squad environment and preparing them for a seamless transition into the squad program if they wish to pursue it.

In addition to skill progression, the class emphasises individual goal setting, performance enhancement, and building self confidence. Students will receive personalised feedback and tailored coaching to address their specific needs and challenges. The class also incorporates elements of routine building and performance preparation, ensuring that students are well-rounded and ready for both competitive and non-competitive gymnastics environments. This program is perfect for dedicated gymnasts who seek to elevate their abilities while balancing their other activities and commitments.
